I'm Undeclared
About Us
Nationally, there’s one school counselor for every 372 students, nowhere close to the recommended 250-to-1.1 That gap has fueled a roughly $3 billion private college-consulting industry,2 where families pay $6,500 on average for a full package,3 or $100 to $400 an hour.4 For a lot of families, that means figuring out school searches and applications largely alone, and paying out of pocket for any real help.
I'm Undeclared closes that same gap for free. For kids who might not have the tools to search, organize, and assess college choices, we are there for them. For those kids who don’t have the means to set up their own athlete digital profile, we level the playing field.
Fencing Forward is launching I'm Undeclared along with the Meredith Delgado Endowment.
I'm Undeclared is a free, AI-assisted college search and organization workbook. You don't need a spreadhseet anylonger, You can enjoy a streamlined experience and features like:
- Search and create your own list of colleges without using a spreadsheet.
- No more looking up school data manually.
- Easy to view, sort and compare schools.
- See the cost of attendance for each school.
- Assess and understand your financials.
- No more manually tracking application to-do’s.
- Get reminders emailed to you before deadlines sneak up.
- See to-dos overview on the calendar.
- Narrow down which school is your best “fit” based on your interests and values.
- Share a read-only plan with a parent or counselor.

- If you are being recruited, create a Digital Athlete Profile card. No need to pay for a recruiting website or sign up for a paid athlete-profile service.
- Pick a sport from one list (or Other), and send a school coach a digital profile card. It has photo, sport facts, GPA, a short note, video links.
The endowment honors Meredith Delgado — the Chicago mentor who showed up for kids at every high school tournament, regional, and national, and who knew the doors to this sport is difficult to open for many families. Every dollar I'm Undeclared raises helps fund that endowment, named for a woman who never let a kid go it alone. It funds a four-year path for students with demonstrated financial need: do well in school, give back, learn financial skills, keep fencing, and compete. Students who meet those marks get a monthly stipend. When they graduate and get into college, they get a scholarship to start that next chapter.
I'm Undeclared is free and stays free. There is no Pro unlock. Your donations to I'm Undeclared help fund the Meredith Delgado Endowment — so the same students who get on the strip can also succeed through high school. A portion also covers hosting and AI lookups so the workbook can stay free.
